Head of Fire Protection (m/f/d)

full-time, based in Berlin, Bad Homburg or nationwide.

• You will ensure that an appropriate and effective, holistic fire protection management system is in place at all Helios Germany sites
• You will report to the management of Helios Germany as well as to the Head of Fire Protection of the Helios segment
• Management of approx. 30 fire safety officers at all locations nationwide and, within the framework of preventive fire protection, technical authority to issue instructions to the heads of the specialist departments
• Strategic further development of the Group fire protection guidelines in coordination with the fire safety officers and the fire safety officers at the individual locations and monitoring the implementation of the Group fire protection guidelines are among your core tasks
• Organization and implementation of fire protection training courses and training and further training for fire protection assistants (m/f/d), whereby your organization is part of the specialist fire protection organization of the Helios segment
• You will be responsible for the fire protection management of the structural/technical and organizational part for all Group facilities
• You will use suitable risk indicators for monitoring and create a risk-oriented monitoring concept
• You will be responsible for drawing up fire protection concepts for new and existing buildings as well as monitoring project implementation through to commissioning and acceptance, including managing and monitoring the service providers involved
• You will advise the parties involved in the construction and ensure the professional implementation of the fire protection concept as part of the specialist construction management through occasional spot checks on construction sites,
• As well as carrying out fire protection due diligence checks when buying and selling sites, carrying out fire prevention inspections for special buildings and managing emergency management

• You have successfully completed a university degree in the field of safety and security, or a degree in fire protection or another university degree with relevant demonstrable experience in the field of safety engineering, fire protection or a similar course of study
• You have several years (at least 5 years) of professional experience in the field of preventive fire protection and fire protection law as well as good knowledge of related fields of law (environmental law, chemicals law, safety law, etc.)
• Additional knowledge of national and international fire protection guidelines as well as fire or evacuation simulations should be available
• You can also demonstrate relevant practical experience in fire protection and further training as an expert (m/f/d) for (preventive) fire protection
• In addition, you have proof of the required knowledge of a Group fire protection officer (m/f/d) and are trained as a fire protection officer (m/f/d), fire protection planner (m/f/d) and expert
• You are motivated for continuous training and further education,
• You have a good command of written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel on business (approx. 40-50 days in Europe)
• You have a valid class B and C driving license
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles
• A high level of service and commitment as well as strong communication and teamwork skills round off your profile
