In your new role as Senior IT Manager / SAP Data Migration Lead (m/f/d) you will oversee and manage all aspects of data migration activities in the context of SAP implementations.
Plan, coordinate, and execute data migration strategies to ensure accurate and efficient transfer of data from legacy systems to SAP
Identify and assess data sources, data quality issues, and data cleansing requirements
Lead data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to migrate data from legacy systems to SAP
Manage and oversee data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness
Engage with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data migration activities meet business needs
Own the migration concept and manage external service partners supporting data migration activities
Provide regular updates and reports to project leadership on data migration progress, issues, and risks
Serve as a team lead, guiding and mentoring team members throughout the migration and foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment
Ensure data migration activities comply with data governance policies, standards, and regulations and establish and enforce data migration best practices and procedures
Plan and execute data migration testing phases, including unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing
Provide post-go-live support to address any data-related issues and ensure data stability
At least 10 years of proven experience in managing end-to-end data migration processes in SAP environments as well as at least 3 years of experience in leading a sizeable data migration team in a large SAP S/4HANA transformation project
Strong knowledge of data migration tools and technologies, such as SAP Data Services, LSMW, SAP Migration Cockpit or equivalent
Expertise in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) methodologies and best practices
Familiarity with SAP modules and data structures, including knowledge of integration points and dependencies
Demonstrated experience in data quality management and data cleansing activities
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Experience in managing external service partners and ensuring alignment with project goals
Knowledge in basic principle and operation of relational database (SQL, HANA DB and Oracle)
Ability to write complex stored procedures and SAP S/4HANA related SQL scripts for validation
Fluent communication skills in English, very good German skills are a plus
