The hospital's palliative care unit, which has been certified as a "special facility", was established in 2011 and has 12 beds. The interdisciplinary team of palliative physicians, specialist nurses, psycho-oncologists, pastoral care, music, occupational, nutritional and physiotherapists are highly committed to the needs of patients and their relatives, who are mainly accommodated in single rooms with the option of an extra bed.
