For our location at the Helios Klinikum Niederberg in Velbert, we are now looking for a

Employee in Medical Controlling (m/f/d)

full-time or part-time!

• Independent coding and grouping of cases based on primary documentation in compliance with applicable coding guidelines
• Support in the analysis and optimization of coding quality
• Supporting and advising medical, nursing and functional staff in optimizing documentation quality and length of stay
• Processing MDK and health insurance inquiries as well as preparing for and participating in MDK audits
• Taking responsibility for your own work in a motivated team and supporting the conceptual development of the department

• Completed training as a medical documentation assistant (m/f/d) with a qualification in medical coding
• Alternatively, completed medical/nursing training with further training as a coding specialist or willingness to undergo further training in this area
• Confident handling of MS Office applications, sound knowledge of the DRG system, coding rules and common DRG software as well as hospital information systems
• Teaching new billing rules in the form of training is no problem for you
• Billing knowledge in the field of intensive care medicine (ventilation hours, TISS/SAPS) is an advantage
• Strong willingness and ability to cooperate across professional groups as well as very good team and communication skills, initiative and a structured way of working
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles
