Medical controlling employee (m/f/d)

For our Medical Controlling department, we are looking for an employee for the Medical Controlling department (m/f/d) with immediate effect as part of a succession plan.

• Your tasks will include the independent coding and grouping of cases based on the primary documentation in compliance with the applicable coding guidelines as well as support in the analysis and optimization of coding quality, primarily in the field of urology

• You will support and advise the medical, nursing and functional service staff in optimizing documentation quality and length of stay
• You will also be responsible for processing MDK and health insurance inquiries as well as preparing for and participating in MDK audits
• You will work independently in a motivated team and support the conceptual development of the department

• You have completed training as a medical documentation assistant (m/f/d) with a qualification in medical coding or have completed medical/nursing training with further training as a coding specialist (m/f/d) or are willing to undergo further training in this area

• Teaching new billing rules in the form of training is no problem for you. Billing knowledge in the field of intensive care medicine (ventilation hours, TISS/SAPS) is also an advantage
• Confident handling of MS Office applications, sound knowledge of the DRG system, coding rules and common DRG software as well as hospital information systems are required
• A pronounced willingness and ability to work together across professional groups as well as very good team and communication skills, initiative and a structured way of working round off your profile
