SAP S/4HANA Controlling Specialist

Solution Design & Architecture:

• Lead the design and architecture of R2R processes with a strong focus on controlling (CO) functionalities within S/4HANA.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate their financial controlling requirements into effective S/4HANA solutions.

• Ensure that the controlling configurations in S/4HANA support accurate cost tracking, profitability analysis, and internal reporting.

• Develop and document end-to-end controlling processes, ensuring integration with other S/4HANA modules such as Finance (FI), Sales & Distribution (SD), and Material Management (MM).

  Implementation & Configuration:

• Lead the implementation and configuration of controlling solutions in S/4HANA, including cost center accounting, profit center accounting, internal orders, and product costing.

• Work closely with technical teams to ensure proper setup and integration of CO with other S/4HANA modules.

• Drive the migration of legacy controlling systems to S/4HANA, ensuring data consistency and process alignment.

• Oversee the testing phases, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for CO-related functionalities.

  Subject Matter Expertise:

• Serve as the primary SME for controlling-related queries, providing expert advice to finance and IT teams.

• Stay informed about updates in S/4HANA CO functionalities and how they can be leveraged to improve business processes.

• Provide insights on best practices for cost management, budget control, and financial performance analysis using S/4HANA.

Stakeholder Management:

• Engage with finance leaders, business controllers, and other key stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure alignment of solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and external consultants, to deliver successful project outcomes.

• Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate end-users on the controlling functionalities within S/4HANA.

  Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization within the R2R controlling domain.

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions, making adjustments to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Support ongoing enhancements to the S/4HANA system, incorporating new functionalities and updates as necessary.

• At least 10 years of experience in R2R processes, with a strong focus on controlling (CO) management.

• At least 4-6 years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, specifically in controlling configuration and management.

• Proven track record of leading S/4HANA implementation projects, particularly in the controlling domains.

• Experience in an SME environment is preferred.

• Deep understanding of S/4HANA Controlling (CO) module including cost center accounting, profit center accounting, product costing, and profitability analysis.

• Strong understanding of S/4HANA Finance (FI) module and its integration with CO.

• Experience with SAP Fiori apps related to finance and controlling.
