As a school social worker (m/f/d) at the Helios Education Center, you are an important point of contact for trainees, teachers and the associated protagonists from the Buch and Emil von Behring clinics to intervene in a wide variety of challenges.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for conflict resolution (e.g. organizing and running an experiential education day, individual interventions, etc.), as well as organizing and running seminars in collaboration with a teaching staff member or the social work team on the following topics: Domestic violence, child protection, death, grief and dying, communication models (e.g. Schulz von Thun etc.)

You will also support trainees with learning disabilities (diagnosed LRS, ADD, etc.)

You will provide pedagogical and psychosocial support to teachers and, in particular, trainees during the exam phase and accompany excursions

The administrative tasks involved include recording compensation for disadvantages, organizing flyers on the subject of Child Benefit Plus, documenting discussions, attending school conferences, etc.

You will also advise trainees and refer them to the relevant institutions (e.g. student BAföG etc.).

• Essential requirements for this position are the ability to work in a team, the joy of working with groups, trusting, informative and preventive mediation in courses, intercultural competence, solution-oriented approach to challenges in courses or in individual settings, empathy, flexibility and resilience
• It would be desirable for you to have at least 2 years of professional experience in working with groups as well as counseling and accompanying people with psychosocial challenges

  Personal commitment with a hands-on mentality and a high degree of team spirit
