Deputy Head of Technology (m/f/d)

Deputy Head as part of succession planning: With clear prospects of taking over the full management function after approx. 12 months

Your task

• Ensuring the technical availability of all systems in the logistics / distribution center Friedberg

• Coordinating, monitoring and controlling all technical aspects in accordance with the company's objectives

• Developing and implementing technical strategies, targets and solutions

• Technical and disciplinary management responsibility for the maintenance and control center areas

• Ensuring the operation, control and maintenance of all fully automated high-bay warehouse areas as well as the entire conveyor system, picking systems and industrial trucks

• Ensuring the further development of digital technologies

• Initiating and managing all relevant projects (including maintenance, retrofitting, building technology), promoting innovation, process optimization and technological development

• Budget control, planning, investment and purchasing of machines and systems, including for building extensions if necessary

Your profile

• Completed studies in engineering or a comparable qualification

• In-depth knowledge of common ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, ISO 27001)

• Several years of professional experience in managing technical teams or departments in a similar management position

• Several years of experience in the implementation of technical projects as well as in the maintenance and servicing of technical equipment and in the areas of occupational health and safety and fire protection

• Additional certifications in project management or specific technology fields as well as knowledge in project management, process optimization, budget management and cost control are desirable

• Passion for strategic planning, introduction of new technologies and long-term visions

• Highly developed analytical skills and solution orientation when dealing with complex technical problems

• Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
