For the Helios Klinikum Niederberg in Velbert we are looking for the next possible date for a

Head of Patient Management (m/f/d)

• Head of the Patient Management department (includes the areas of patient accounting, social services, clerical services, cash register and archive)
• Monitoring and supporting timely and correct billing in accordance with the law
• Coordination of an optimized process organization within the above-mentioned departmental areas (e.g. for standardization of the digital patient file flow, etc.) including employee development
• Clarification of legal issues and ambiguities regarding billing with the health insurance providers, the MDK, in the case of emergency treatments with the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians and other external billing offices, including private liquidation billing and strategic communication with the chief physicians (m/f/d)
• Checking and researching missing or incorrect billing-relevant data
• Preparation of relevant evaluations and statistics for the management
• Accompanying billing-relevant IT projects and participating in cross-clinic projects and cooperation negotiations
• Maintaining the service relationship with cooperation partners and cooperating facilities

• Completed commercial vocational training (e.g. healthcare clerk, social insurance clerk (m/f/d))
• Several years of professional experience in the processing of inpatient and outpatient billing forms for payers and patients
• If possible, many years of management responsibility, preferably in the area of patient management
• Sound knowledge of the legal basis for financing inpatient and outpatient services with comprehensive knowledge of the relevant legislation for this billing area (KHG, BPflV, KHEntgG, FPV, SGB V)
• Extensive and practical experience in billing: DRG, GOÄ, EBM, UV-GOÄ
• Confident handling of common MS Office products and advanced knowledge of the SAP R/3 environment, in particular IS-H
• A quick grasp and a strong analytical mindset with an understanding of complex interrelationships
• An independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
• A high level of social competence combined with strong communication skills, a confident manner and negotiating skills
