Senior DevOps Lead

Objective of the Function:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Lead to own and manage our DevOps processes, coordinate release management with technical teams, and oversee CI/CD pipelines for commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Github or Gearset, and familiarity with MS Azure DevOps will be added advantage.

Function in the company: Technical Expert

Release Management:

* Coordinate release management activities with various internal and external technical teams.

* Ensure timely and error-free releases of applications and updates.

DevOps Ownership:

* Own and manage DevOps processes including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

* Implement and monitor DevOps best practices.

Pipeline Management:

* Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Github Or Gearset, or MS Azure DevOps.

* Automate and streamline processes to enhance operational efficiency.

System Integration:

* Integrate DevOps tools with enterprise applications and systems.

* Ensure seamless interoperability and data flow between systems.

Monitoring and Reporting:

* Implement monitoring tools to track system performance and operational metrics.

* Generate regular reports on system health, deployment metrics, and incident resolutions.

Compliance and Security:

* Ensure all DevOps activities comply with security policies and regulatory standards.

* Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.

Collaboration:

* Work closely with development, QA, and IT operation teams to align DevOps strategies with business objectives.

* Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Documentation and Training:

* Create comprehensive technical documentation for DevOps processes.

* Provide training and support to end-users, team members, and junior developers.

Qualification and work experience:

·       Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

·       Atleast 7 years of years of hands-on experience with DevOps

·       Proven experience with Salesforce, Workday, MS Azure and SAP projects

·       Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is highly desirable.

Requirements / Knowledge to fulfil the position:

Technical Skills:

·       Proficiency in DevOps tools such as Github, Gearset, MS Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.

·       Knowledge of web technologies such as REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.

·       Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

·       Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk..

Certifications:

·       DevOps certification such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.

·       Additional certifications in Github, MS Azure DevOps, or related tools are a plus.

Soft Skills:

·       Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

·       Effective communication and collaboration skills.

·       Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.

·       Strong leadership and project management abilities.
