Lead a department including disciplinary leadership of teams, Team Managers, and Senior Managers. Manage virtual international teams, ensuring the development, implementation, and maintenance of strategic or business-critical software applications. Oversee teams responsible for the Accounting, Controlling, and Consolidation Workstream.
Design and architect end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) processes within SAP S/4HANA, including Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), and Consolidation. Ensure solutions align with business requirements, best practices, and global financial standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP). Oversee implementation, configuration, and optimization of R2R-related SAP S/4HANA modules.
Ensure seamless integration of R2R processes with other financial and operational processes within SAP S/4HANA. Lead data migration activities, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of data transferred from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA.
Ensure R2R processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Design and implement automated controls within SAP S/4HANA to enhance financial governance. Optimize the financial close process and implement robust reporting solutions using SAP Fiori, Embedded Analytics, and other tools.
Collaborate with finance, accounting, controlling, consolidation, IT, and business teams to gather requirements and ensure R2R processes support overall business goals. Provide active customer advisory services, including consultancy, scope definition, and project planning. Lead stakeholder alignments and represent the team in management meetings.
Monitor, coordinate, and ensure the quality of team output, initiating measures for quality improvement. Conduct risk assessments and implement or suggest appropriate countermeasures within the area of responsibility.
Develop and implement strategies for managing technical areas and service portfolios of large-scale and high complexity. Align these strategies with wider corporate goals and manage the performance of the function or business area, setting and achieving performance objectives.
Develop and deliver training programs for finance, controlling, and consolidation teams to ensure proficiency in using SAP S/4HANA R2R processes. Act as the R2R lead during SAP S/4HANA implementations, guiding project teams through complex decisions and leading workshops, blueprint sessions, and steering committees.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of proven hands-on experience in SAP FICO and Consolidation, with a strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, particularly in the Record to Report (R2R) domain, including modules such as GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, CO-PA, CO-PC, ML, and Consolidation.
High-level experience in functional management and leadership, managing global teams of up to 50 members. Demonstrated ability to direct and guide teams towards achieving strategic objectives.
Relevant academic background or comparable professional experience. SAP certification is a must.
Strong understanding of financial close, consolidation, intercompany processes, and statutory reporting within SAP S/4HANA. Proficiency in SAP Fiori, Embedded Analytics, and other SAP reporting tools for real-time financial reporting and analysis.
High-level experience in IT service management, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of IT services in alignment with business requirements.
Prior experience within the Life Sciences domain, with a strong understanding of the industry's specific processes and requirements, including GxP compliance and data protection.
Extensive experience in managing complex interdependencies across multiple workstreams and teams, with strong project management skills. Experience in requirements engineering, risk management, and task-specific IT technology competence.
Proven experience in managing both internal and external suppliers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
