SENIOR MANAGER IT GOVERNANCE & PROJECT MANAGEMENT

 Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Project Manager to lead and deliver cross-functional projects as part of our global operations. This role is based in Bangalore and plays a key role in building and expanding our operational footprint, including the build-up of Fresenius Kabi IT Governance Services in India.

As Project Manager, the candidate will manage the end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives, support the local ramp-up in Bangalore, and serve as a senior-level entry point into our Governance team in India, playing a crucial role in strengthening regional execution while ensuring alignment with global standards.

Main Tasks & Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

-      Lead the entire project lifecycle from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.

-      Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, finance, governance, and external partners.

-      Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.

-      Monitor and manage project budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.

-      Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, internal quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

-      Provide regular, structured updates to senior stakeholders and escalate critical issues where necessary.

-      Use project management tools such as ServiceNow, or equivalent platforms.

-      Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies based on project needs.

-      Run projects independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Location-Specific Responsibilities

-      Lead and support the transition of IT capabilities to Bangalore, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal integration.

-      Serve as a senior point of contact for India-based governance-related workforce matters, including improving reporting structures and engagement within the Governance function.

-      Support the growth of the Bangalore location without direct reporting responsibility over other team areas emphasizing collaboration and alignment rather than competition.

-      Help create a strong, collaborative working culture in Bangalore that reflects and supports global IT and business objectives.

Qualifications, Experience / Requirements and Technical Knowhow:

-      Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, IT, Business, or a related discipline.

-      5–10 years of experience managing IT, digital, or cross-functional transformation projects.

-      In-depth knowledge of project governance, PMO best practices, and delivery methodologies.

-      Knowledge of ServiceNow incl. SPM and PPM modules.

-      PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred.

-      Proven ability to lead projects autonomously and influence stakeholders.

-      Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.

-      Experience in a global or matrixed organization is a strong plus.

Nice to Have

-      Knowledge of enterprise architecture, IT service management (ITSM), IT governance, cloud transformation programs.

-      Industry background in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or manufacturing.
