Senior Application Expert – SAP Serialization (m/f/d)

As Senior Application Expert - SAP Serialization, you will be technically responsible for the Serialization Solution in SAP, including interfaces to other systems, after completing personalized training. As a key member of our SAP Application Team, you will design complex IT solutions, estimate related efforts, and provide technical leadership during implementation projects as well as ensure technical control and quality of operational maintenance. Collaboration with Solution Architects of connected IT solutions (L3 and Tradelink) to create efficient IT solutions for Serialization is also an important area of this job.
The change of the current system landscape with SAP OER to SAP ATTP / SAP-ICH will be one of the exciting tasks in the next years.

Solution Design and Estimation

• Design complex IT solutions as part of solution proposals and prepare related cost estimates
• Coordinate with Solution Architects of connected systems (L3 and Tradelink) as part of the Design Group

SAP System Integration

• Define IT solutions in SAP systems (EWM, WM, MM, PP, OER and ATTP), considering external interfaces to regulatory authorities and supply chain partners (3PLs, CMOs, Product Partners)
• Ensure solutions meet global implementation and validation requirements

Project Leadership and Governance

• Manage and govern solutions created by the SAP Application Team for future orientation, quality, and maintainability within the approved budget
• Provide technical control and leadership for the technical project team and international technical teams
• Monitor implementation and execution of concepts and tasks, introducing operational quality assurance measures

 Continuous Improvement and Risk Management

• Identify and manage continuous improvements to services and processes
• Carry out risk assessments and implement or recommend suitable countermeasures

Operational and Strategic Support

• Support IT-Housekeeping activities, such as periodic reviews
• Represent the team in management meetings, lead committees, and working groups as directed by the superior
• Represent the organization to cross-functional stakeholders, customers, and external groups

Team Development

• Develop measures in coordination with the superior to further develop SAP Application Team members, aiming to increase the independence of the team

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or similar
• Strong expertise in production and packaging processes, warehouse and distribution logistics
• Technical knowledge of SAP ATTP and other SAP systems (EWM, WM, MM, PP, OER) i
• Knowledge of Serialization standards / EPCIS is beneficial
• with a focus on Serialization / Track & Trace in the pharmaceutical industry
• Familiarity with current legislation in Serialization
• Good knowledge of Serialization system architecture (ISA-95 levels 3-5) and the supply chain network is a plus
• Experience in a regulated environment
• Proactive mentality with a strong sense of priorities to support multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, stakeholder management and intercultural skills
• Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
• Willingness to travel moderately
