Your task
As an R&D Test Engineer in Medical Devices, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of our single-use medical devices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to test and optimize product design in line with technical requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of verification methods and technical understanding.
Main Tasks:
- Creation of test plans/methods for stress testing on new products or studies
- Development and manufacture of test fixtures
- Planning and execution of tests and documentation of test results
- Analyzing the causes of failures in close cooperation with the design team
- Planning and carrying out comparative tests with the aim of finding the optimum solution or evaluating different variants
Your profile
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or similar) in mechanical engineering, polymer science, biomedical engineering or a related field
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision in the development of test methods
- Solid understanding of statistical design of experiments, test method development and failure analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Good command of English (written and verbal)
Preferred skills:
- Experience in statistical design of experiments (DOE), bench testing and failure analysis
- Experience with plastics, processing (injection molding/extrusion) and joining processes (assembly, bonding)
- Creativity in developing suitable and efficient test methods
