We are looking for you at the Leipzig Heart Center for the four-year training (8 semesters) as a nursing specialist (m/f/d) in conjunction with a degree in nursing B.Sc. / nursing expert starting on 01.09.2026.

In the end, you will be able to call two degrees your own: Nursing specialist (m/f/d) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

We would like to contribute the expertise we have learned from the dual study program and develop you into a nursing expert.

• During the first seven semesters of the dual study program, you will go through the various fields of nursing and be prepared for your professional role as a nursing specialist (m/f/d)
• In the eighth semester of the training, you will concentrate intensively on completing your studies
• You will learn to recognize the care needs and emergency situations of your patients, to react appropriately and to participate in care measures, and we will also teach you how to support people in need of care of all ages
• You will acquire the basics of science-based nursing practice and learn to plan and document the care process of your patients
• During your studies, you will gain knowledge about the social, institutional and legal framework conditions as well as organizational and quality development in nursing
• You will complete various practical assignments, e.g. in the various departments of the hospital as well as in outpatient and inpatient long-term care areas
• You will be accompanied through your training and studies by regular practical guidance and will be well prepared for your final exams and subsequent professional activity

• You have a general higher education entrance qualification, technical college entrance qualification or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (m/f/d)
• You are characterized by a strong sense of responsibility, empathy and reliability
• You are interested in medical, nursing and social tasks
• You are inquisitive and want to underpin your education with scientific knowledge
• You are willing to work in shifts
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

How does the training work?

Four years of training in theory and practice

The practical training takes place in our clinic and in the long-term care area

The theoretical training will take place at the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences in Jena
