We are looking for you for the three-and-a-half-year training (7 semesters) to become a nursing specialist (m/f/d) in combination with a degree in nursing B.Sc. / nursing expert starting on 01.09.2026.

At the end you can call two degrees your own: Nursing Specialist (m/f/d) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

We would like to use the expertise you have gained from the dual study program and develop you into a nursing expert.

• During the first six semesters of the dual study program, you will work in the various fields of nursing and be prepared for your professional role as a nursing specialist (m/f/d)
• In the seventh semester of the course, you will focus intensively on your degree
• You will learn to recognize the care needs and emergency situations of your patients, to react appropriately and to participate in care measures. We will also teach you how to support people of all ages in need of care
• You will acquire the basics of science-based nursing practice and learn how to plan and document the nursing process for your patients
• During your studies, you will gain knowledge of the social, institutional and legal framework conditions as well as organizational and quality development in nursing care
• You will complete various practical assignments, e.g. in the various specialist areas of the hospital as well as in outpatient and inpatient long-term care areas

• You have a general higher education entrance qualification, entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification
• You are characterized by a strong sense of responsibility, empathy and reliability
• You are interested in medical, nursing and social tasks
• You are eager to learn and would like to base your training on scientific knowledge
• You are willing to work in shifts
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

How does the training work?

Three and a half years of theoretical and practical training

Practical training takes place in our clinic and in the long-term care sector

The theoretical training will take place at the Protestant University for Social Work in Dresden
