Director European Patent Attorney (m/f/d)

This position can be filled either full-time or part-time.

In the role of a Director European Patent Attorney (m/f/d) you will support the business on all patent related questions to enable product launches.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the global IP strategy for several biosimilar products at various stages in development and launch

• Work closely with cross‐functional project teams to guide the design of biosimilar products, formulations and manufacturing processes having FTO

• Collaborate in aligning the strategies of IP, regulatory, supply and commercial to devise routes to key markets

• Draft Freedom to Operate (FTO) opinions and monitor & organize competitor IP landscapes

• Manage and participate in patent challenge work including European patent oppositions, patent-linkage proceedings

• Manage multi-country patent litigations and participate in settlement discussions

• Give timely and accurate legal advice to senior management on complex IP landscapes, enabling business decisions to be taken

• Collaborate and ideate with business functions (including Partnerships, Supply, PLM) to identify strategic opportunities to expand the Biosimilars portfolio in key markets

Your Qualifications:

• Scientific degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy)

• At least 10 years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or pharmacy industry

• Qualified European Patent Attorney (EPA) - mandatory

• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

• Proven expertise in patent litigation, FTO analysis and IP portfolio strategy

• Strong communication and negotiation skills when interacting with senior leadership

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
