• As an occupational therapist, you will analyze the current situation of your patients and apply targeted methods and concepts to promote, improve or restore changes in function and movement. You are an essential part of rehabilitation after injuries and illnesses
• The training is divided into theoretical and practical phases and comprises a total of 4,400 hours:
• Theory with practical relevance: In 2,700 hours at the Semper Schule Dresden, you will acquire in-depth knowledge in areas such as anatomy, psychology, occupational therapy basics and medical terminology
• Diverse practical experience: 1,700 hours of practical training in various areas such as psychosocial, motor-functional, neurophysiological and occupational therapy
• Variety of applications: you will learn how to support people of all ages - from children to senior citizens - in their independence
• Skills development: You will acquire skills in the use of therapeutic procedures, aids and creative techniques
• Graduation with prospects: the training ends with the exams - if you successfully complete it, we offer you the opportunity to be taken on

School-leaving certificate: Secondary school leaving certificate or higher (e.g. Abitur) or lower secondary school leaving certificate with at least two years of completed vocational training

Strong communication skills & empathy: You approach people openly, listen actively and can express yourself empathetically - both in conversation and in non-verbal communication

Team spirit & sense of responsibility: You enjoy working in a team, take responsibility for your tasks and show commitment to the well-being of your fellow human beings

Enjoyment of movement & creativity: You enjoy movement, are creative in designing therapy sessions and enjoy developing new ideas to support your patients

Openness & willingness to learn: You are curious, open to new experiences and willing to continuously develop yourself in order to provide the best possible support for your patients

Inaddition, you have German language skills at B2 level, a health certificate (medical certificate required), an extended certificate of good conduct and proof of vaccination against measles
