The Business Integration Manager (m/f/d) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless design, alignment, and integration of business processes and IT templates within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA business transformation program. This role ensures that end-to-end processes flow consistently across functions, geographies, and systems, while safeguarding standardization, template adherence, and future scalability. The Business Integration Manager (m/f/d) will act as a key liaison between Global Process Owners, Process owners, Solution Architects, and technical teams, ensuring a harmonized, value-driven transformation.
Integration & Process Design
Ensure end-to-end business processes are consistently defined, integrated, and aligned across functions (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Procurement, etc.).
Drive the design and maintenance of a global IT template that balances standardization with local requirements.
Facilitate integration design workshops, ensuring cross-functional dependencies are captured and resolved (e.g. Intercompany Processes, Triangular Business, etc.).
Safeguard adherence to SAP S/4HANA best practices and industry-leading process models.
Governance & Alignment
Define and enforce integration governance standards, methodologies, and tools for the transformation program.
Ensure consistency and compliance of all process and IT template decisions with program objectives.
Serve as a gatekeeper for design decisions, ensuring alignment with business strategy, architecture principles, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure risks, issues, and interdependencies are tracked and managed.
Support UAT scenario development.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary integration counterpart for business process owners, solution architects, and system integrators.
Facilitate alignment between business teams, IT, and external partners to ensure seamless design and execution.
Translate business requirements into integrated process and system designs, balancing technical feasibility and business value.
Communicate integration impacts, dependencies, and decisions clearly to senior stakeholders and program leadership.
Quality & Delivery Assurance
Monitor integration deliverables to ensure timely and high-quality outputs across process and IT design streams.
Oversee testing strategy related to end-to-end process integration (SIT, UAT, regression, cutover).
Drive resolution of integration-related defects and issues, ensuring accountability across teams.
Ensure documentation and knowledge transfer of integration design and decisions.
Change Management
Provide input for process- level change impact analysis.
Work closely with OCM to design training,communication and adoption plan.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
At least 10 years of professional experience in business transformation, ERP implementation, or large-scale IT programs.
At least 5 years of experience specifically in SAP ERP programs, ideally with SAP S/4HANA.
Proven track record in Business Integration Management, process harmonization, and IT template governance.
Strong understanding of cross-functional processes (Lead-to-Cash, Purchase-to-Pay, Record-to-Decide, Plan-to-Produce, etc.).
Experience working in global, complex, multi-entity organizations.
Familiarity with agile/hybrid delivery models and program management methodologies.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities.
Ability to visualize, analyze, and integrate end-to-end flows across business domains.
Capable of aligning diverse stakeholders behind common integration objectives.
Structured approach to managing complex dependencies and risks.
Ability to support business readiness and adoption during transformation.
