As a practice partner of the Technical University of Dresden, we are looking for a student in the dual study program in midwifery on 01.10. of each year.

What you can expect

  • Interest in the care and support of women during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period
  • Interest in the care of healthy newborns
  • Social skills, ability to work in a team, organizational skills, openness/empathy, resilience and flexibility

Training is based on theory at the university and practice at our clinic.


Theoretical teaching takes place at the Technical University of Dresden. It is organized as a dual primary qualification course, i.e. studies and training are interlinked in terms of organization and content. The course comprises seven semesters and has a modular structure. It consists of two study sections. You will complete your practical training at the Helios Vogtland-Klinikum Plauen. The following specialist areas of inpatient care are covered in a total of 3,000 hours:

Maternity ward
maternity ward
Non-surgical ward (gynecology department)
Operating theater
Pediatric clinic (premature infant ward)
In addition, outpatient care is provided in the following areas:
Gynecological practice (prenatal care area)

External practice (freelance midwife/maternity nurse)
