Coding specialist in medical controlling (m/f/d)

across all locations for the Helios Klinik Wesermarsch and the Helios Klinik Cuxhaven

• Independent case-related and case-closing coding of diagnoses and procedures (ICD-10-GM and OPS) on the basis of patient files in close cooperation with the medical departments
• Checking and processing primary coding as part of medical documentation
• Analysis of coding anomalies and support in optimizing documentation quality
• Assisting with the processing of payer enquiries
• Close cooperation with the medical controlling teams at several hospital locations and participation in cross-location projects
• Participation in training and advising medical and nursing colleagues on coding and documentation topics

• Completed training in the healthcare sector (e.g. medical assistant, healthcare and nursing assistant) with completed further training as a coding specialist
• Sound knowledge of the German coding guidelines (DKR), the DRG system and ideally the current MD guidelines
• Professional experience in medical controlling
• Confident handling of HIS systems (orbis and ish-med) and MS Office
• Structured, independent way of working, strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Willingness to work across locations
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles
