As a Senior Expert Functional Workday Support, you ensure the stability, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Workday platform across Europe. You serve as a key technical and functional advisor for HR, Finance, IT, and support teams, resolving complex issues and driving system enhancements. Your work enables seamless processes, high data integrity, and strong user adoption across the organization. Working location: Europe (hybrid)
Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution for HRIS (Workday) issues, including complex configuration errors, data discrepancies, and system functionality concerns.
Collaborate with Tier 1 support teams, HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to resolve escalated cases, implement enhancements, and deliver cross-functional system solutions.
Analyze system performance, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure data integrity, system stability, and operational efficiency.
Partner with integration teams to manage and support data interfaces between Workday and other business systems, ensuring seamless and accurate data flow.
Lead system testing, validation, and quality assurance for new configurations, releases, and upgrades to ensure alignment with business requirements.
Develop, maintain, and update HRIS documentation, including process guides, knowledge base articles, and training materials.
Conduct end-user training sessions and provide ongoing support to enhance user adoption and optimize system utilization.
Research, evaluate, and recommend new Workday features, functionality, and best practices to continuously improve system performance and the employee experience.
Support HR projects, system enhancements, and reporting/analytics initiatives by providing subject matter expertise and actionable insights.
Ensure compliance with data security, audit requirements, and company policies in all HRIS processes and activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
5+ years of technical support experience for enterprise systems (preferably Workday), including configuration, testing, validation, and documentation
Strong proficiency in Workday configuration, security roles, reporting, and troubleshooting
Workday certification(s) such as Workday HCM preferred; experience with additional cloud applications is a plus
Solid understanding of HR and Finance processes and how they translate into system functionality
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, cross‑functional teams
Highly organized, customer‑focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
