Workplace Insights: Behind the scenes at Fresenius
News & Facts |

Fresenius represents medical products, clinics and health care facilities. But what does it actually look like behind the scenes of a global operating healthcare group? Join our colleague Paula from the Kabi Talent Acquisition Team on a tour of the EK2 building and get exciting behind the scenes insights into the workplace at Fresenius' corporate headquarters in Bad Homburg:

Immediately after entering the building (the name, by the way, is based on the address Else-Kröner-Strasse 2), you will already find one of the highlights of the EK2 site - the Forum. It offers space for around 200 people and is therefore often used for large events, such as global town halls, company meetings or events to welcome new employees, apprentices and dual students. To ensure that everything works smoothly, there is of course a separate room integrated into the Forum for directing and managing the technology.

The "Snack Point" is located directly behind the Forum. In addition to all kinds of sweet treats, you can also stock up on fresh muesli, fruit salad, sandwiches and pastries here. And as we all know, a little snack keeps everyone in a good mood in the office.

Whether it's a brainstorming session with colleagues or a focused work session, the office space at EK2 offers plenty of room for both joint exchange and concentration. The relaxed atmosphere of the sofa corners has already produced some great ideas. If more quiet is needed, the so-called "think tanks" are much appreciated. These are a good space to retreat to and are used by the Talent Acquisition Team especially for digital interviews.

In general, the "open space" concept applies in the office areas of EK2. This means that there are no fixed seats and everyone can sit wherever he or she wants. This allows you to sit next to other colleagues within the team from time to time.

Paula's favorite place is the large office kitchen. Not only is there fresh fruit, coffee and tea, but it's also a popular meeting place for Paula and her colleagues, where they can talk to each other, discuss the latest updates or simply wrap up the office day together.

And if the weather is good, you can also meet while taking a walk around the wide outdoor area of the Fresenius Campus!
