To Support our Process Development team, we are currently looking for a Scientific Evaluation of Biotech Drug Products and Packaging Components Intern, 100% based in Eysins.

The main functional goal of this position is to support the evaluation, testing, and documentation of prefilled syringe, specifically staked needle syringes and elastomeric stoppers, used for biologic drug products. The role includes conducting laboratory studies, assisting with data analysis, maintaining documentation. 

Main Tasks:

  • Manage syringe and stopper samples from different suppliers. 

  • Prepare protocol and execute studies essential for the characterization of prefilled syringes using appropriate analytical techniques. 

    • Physico-chemical tests for proteins,

    • Physical characterization tests for syringes and stoppers (e.g., dimensions, break-loose/glide forces, needle shield removal force),

    • Conduct visual inspections for defects according to established SOPs,

  • Perform stability studies including testing at different timepoints,

  • Document raw data, observations, and deviations accurately,

  • Compile report and prepare presentation.

Cross-functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with drug product lead, device lead and lab supervisors,

  • Attend team meetings and provide updates on study progress,

  • Support communication with external vendors or packaging suppliers if needed. 

Qualification profile:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s with experience or Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related scientific field.

Qualification profile:

Technical Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment,

  • Ability to follow SOPs and work with precision,

  • Good documentation and organizational skills, 

  • Must follow safety protocols (laminar flow). 

  • Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills 

  • Familiarity with biologics and aseptic handling,

  • Understanding of packaging materials (glass, elastomers, lubricant systems),

  • Experience with analytical tools (HPLC, HAIC ,MFI, balance, etc.),

  • Handling of biologic formulations and sterile components.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn,

  • Collaborates, ability to work under supervision and in a team,

  • Fine interpersonal, networking and teamwork skills,

  • Work proactively and independently.

Languages

  • Fluency in English,

  • French (nice to have).
