Training as a nursing specialist (m/f/d)
We operate a high-level basic care hospital in Saxony-Anhalt and are an academic teaching hospital of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. In the fields of internal medicine (cardiology and gastroenterology), general, visceral and vascular surgery, trauma and reconstructive surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology/obstetrics, anaesthesiology/ intensive care and urology, we treat around 11,000 inpatients and around 13,000 outpatients every year.
From 2020, generalist nursing will be the further development of nursing training and will replace training in healthcare and (pediatric) nursing.
It is now possible to apply for training from 01.09.2025 to become a
Nursing specialist (f/m/d)
(generalist nursing training; EU recognition)

acquired knowledge from theory such as:
basic and treatment care,
nursing theories,
computerized patient management, into practice,
Participation in the 3-shift system, weekend and holiday work.
To start training as a nursing specialist (m/f/d), you will need either
We strongly recommend that you complete a two-week nursing internship.
