Training as an occupational therapist (m/f/d)

We are looking for you as an occupational therapist (m/f/d) at Helios Klinikum Pirna for the three-year training program starting on 01.09. of each year!

• Applied theory & specialist knowledge (approx. 2,700 hours): You will deepen your knowledge in subjects such as professional, legal & political studies, technical language, biology, anatomy, physiology, medical science, psychology, pedagogy, medical sociology and acquire the basic knowledge of occupational therapy
• Design & therapy workshops: You will learn practical manual techniques as well as occupational therapy procedures and case work - perfect for the individual support and activation of patients
• Practical stations in various fields of application (approx. 1,700 hours): Passing through areas of application such as psychosocial (psychiatry/geriatrics), motor-functional, neurophysiological/psychological and occupational therapy - partly outpatient, partly clinical
• Outpatient & clinical practice with therapy planning: You will gain practical experience in outpatient facilities and clinics, carry out independent assessment, analysis and therapy planning - supported by qualified practical guidance
• Patient-oriented rehabilitation work: following an individual analysis of findings, you will use targeted methods to restore or improve functional capabilities. You are part of the rehabilitation team - in acute clinics, specialist clinics, surgeries and workshops for people with disabilities
• State examinations & career prospects: At the end, you will face four complex written exams, seven individual practical exams and five oral exams. Upon successful completion, you will receive the state-recognized professional title of "occupational therapist".

• School requirements: Secondary school certificate or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or Abitur - or equivalent qualification with at least two years of successful vocational training

• Language skills: German at B2 level

• Social strength: enjoy working with people & enjoy teamwork
• Intercultural openness: Appreciation of cultural diversity
• Communication & observation: Balanced, approachable communication paired with good observation skills
• Commitment & enjoyment of movement: Responsibility & solution-oriented work, enjoyment of movement, health suitability as well as proof of vaccination (measles) & extended certificate of good conduct
