(Senior) Manager Workday Application Management – Security (m/f/d) in Europe

As part of Group Human Resources, our global Workday Application Management team does everything it can to ensure fast processes, convenient systems, secure data and meaningful figures in the HR environment. As a partner to our HR teams in the regions Europe, APAC and Americas, we take on the technical requirements for HR IT systems and support their implementation – whether it's completely new developments or new / additional functionalities. The position is to be filled in Europe.

Your tasks

• You are responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing Workday – especially in the area of Security and Reports and analytics to support business intelligence and decision making.

• To do this, you will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements e.g., for configuration or reporting enhancements as well as large, complex system adaptions and translate them into actionable insights.

• Troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving advanced issues especially for Security (e. g. data discrepancies, synchronization problems, performance issues) is part of your daily work, also in collaboration with Workday support resources and vendors if required.

• Thanks to your experience, you are an expert in both managing the integrity and accuracy of master data within the Workday system (including employee records, organizational structures and global job catalogue) and defining and enforcing data governance policies, standards and procedures to ensure data quality and consistency. 

• In regards to IT security administration, you are responsible for managing user access and user-based security roles within Workday in accordance with security policies and regulatory requirements, for conducting access reviews, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, and for investigating and responding to security incidents, including unauthorized access attempts and data breaches. Staying informed about emerging security threats and industry best practices to proactively address security risks is a matter of course for you.

• You provide training and guidance (e. g. knowledge articles, FAQs) to end-users and support teams to facilitate user self-service and promote the adoption of best practices to maximize the value of the Workday system.

• Last but not least, you continuously identify opportunities for improvement and implement enhancements, upgrades, and patches to increase the efficiency and performance of the system.

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• At least 5 years of extensive experience administering Workday reporting, master data and especially security functionalities.

• In-depth knowledge of Workday reporting tools (e. g. Report Writer, Advanced Reporting, Prism Analytics), data integration techniques and security protocols.

• Relevant certifications such as Workday Reporting and Security Certifications are preferred.

• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.

• Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills in English, proficiency in German is an advantage.
