(Senior) Manager Compliance & Process Excellence (m/f/d)

In this role you will support the Regional/BU Compliance Officer of the Business Unit Biopharma in advising and leading the operational units.

You will be responsible for the implementation, improvement, and further development of the internal Compliance Management System, the internal control system, as well as the introduction and monitoring of processes and guidelines regarding compliance and process optimization.

Your Assignments:

Compliance:

• Support implementation and further enhancement of the compliance communication, compliance program and compliance strategy in the Business Unit (BU) Biopharma

• Implement and improve compliance relevant methods, processes, documentation and supporting compliance-tools

• Review, monitor and support the roll-out of compliance Policies and SOPs

• Implementation, training and support of the Business Partner Due Diligence process

• Support Compliance Case Management process, take responsibility on follow up of reported cases, perform investigation and monitor remediation

• Support and incorporate compliance activities in post-merger integrations

• Develop and perform regular training and workshop measures (including e-learning) for local legal entities and relevant units

• Consult and guide local Compliance Coordinators in different countries

• Review of compliance inquiries and provide advice on ad-hoc requests

Process Excellence:

• Advise, guide and support the business operations and units of the BU Biopharma to implement appropriate internal controls (ICS), SOPs and processes, which fulfill local legal regulations as well as internal Corporate standards
• Identify potential compliance and ICS risks within the Business Unit and propose appropriate actions to the Biopharma Management Team
• Initiate and run learning and knowledge sharing activities in the areas of process excellence, ICS and Compliance
• Perform process and controls benchmarking with the objective of setting appropriate standards and achieving necessary improvements in the countries
• Support of legal entities in internal audits, e.g. preparation, report review and follow ups
• Monitor implementation of agreed action lists resulting from compliance reviews and internal audits

Your Profil:

• Successfully completed University degree in law or economics or a comparable qualification
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Compliance/Legal, Internal Auditing, Risk Management/Internal Controls and/or Finance & Accounting in an operational company environment
• Good analytical and risk evaluation skills, advanced legal understanding
• Strong sense for pragmatic problem solving and consultative advice to operations
• Excellent communication skills to interact across all hierarchy levels and cultural backgrounds
• Good understanding of internal business processes and related controls
• High level of integrity, discretion and persistence to enforce compliance culture
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
