In this role, you'll analyze data from our core businesses, Fresenius Kabi (pharmaceuticals and medical devices) and Helios (Europe’s largest private hospital operator), and use your findings to drive strategic decisions that improve operations and governance across our global healthcare group.

As a Data Scientist in Internal Audit, you'll play a key role in identifying risks, uncovering trends, and supporting audit projects that influence the success of a leading healthcare organization. Your responsibilities

• You turn data into stories: Design and deliver dashboards and visualizations that make complex topics understandable — for auditors, management, and everyone in between.

• You dig deep: Extract and analyze data e.g., from SAP tables, to identify optimization opportunities and potential control issues.

• You support the audit mission: Translate audit objectives into analytical procedures that provide meaningful, evidence-based results.

• You drive innovation: Support further digitalization of audit methods and help embed analytics and AI into our day-to-day audit work.

• You code with purpose: Apply programming skills in Python to automate data extraction, transformation, and analysis processes.

What you bring

• A degree in data science, business analytics, statistics, economics, computer science or a related field

• Strong programming skills in Python (e.g., pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, seaborn)

• Familiarity with SAP data structures and ability to work with SAP tables (via SAP GUI, SE16, or exports)

• Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and data modeling

• Ability to think analytically, solve problems, and communicate findings clearly

• Hands-on experience with data tools like Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python, or Celonis

• Analytical mindset with strong communication skills and a curious, open-minded approach to problem-solving

• Fluency in English, German is a plus
