Training as a surgical assistant (m/f/d)

Start a three-year apprenticeship at Helios Klinikum Schwelm on August 1, 2025 to become a surgical assistant (m/f/d).

• Vocational training that will enable you step by step to prepare for and follow up on operations, to assist, to care for patients perioperatively

• At Helios Klinikum Schwelm, you can expect a highly technical environment that requires a great deal of knowledge, professionalism and team spirit
• You will learn everything you need for your future career as an OTA here. Professionally supported by our qualified practical instructors

• At least a technical secondary school certificate or secondary general school certificate plus two years of vocational training

• Alternatively: one-year nursing assistant training plus one year of professional experience
• A completed internship in a hospital would be desirable, but is not a prerequisite
• Health suitability and a good command of the German language (B2 or higher)
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

• Dual three-year full-time training in cooperation with the OTA school BAVO Hagen

• 2,100 hours of theoretical training and 2,500 hours of practical training
• Structured practical instruction
• Training allowance in accordance with TV Helios Azubi (currently around 1,400 euros in the first year, 1,450 euros in the second year and 1,670 euros in the third year)
• Subsidy for the Deutschlandticket
