At the earliest possible date, we are looking for you at the Leipzig Heart Center in the Department of Hospital Hygiene as a Healthcare and Nursing Specialist / Nursing Specialist / Nurse / Nurse (m/f/d) in the position of

Hygiene Specialist (m/f/d)

• You are responsible for the detection, recording and evaluation of hospital infections and the initiation of the resulting preventive measures
• You will be responsible for advising all employees on all aspects of hospital hygiene as well as creating, developing and monitoring hygiene concepts and providing training and practical guidance to all employees
• You will be responsible for outbreak management and carrying out environmental examinations
• You will organize and carry out hygienic-microbiological tests of equipment, ventilation systems and water
• Your tasks will include preparing for and following up on inspections by the supervisory authorities as well as preparing, carrying out and following up on internal hygiene inspections
• You will be responsible for monitoring construction measures

• You have completed training as a health and nursing professional / nurse / geriatric nurse (m/f/d) and have at least two years of professional experience in healthcare facilities
• You have completed training as a hygiene specialist or are willing to complete further specialist training
• You are characterized by an independent, team-oriented working style, an independent way of working and personal commitment
• Your strengths include organizational talent and communication skills
• You have experience in using MS Office and are willing to learn other IT programs
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles
