To strengthen our Printing & Asset Management team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Manager (m/f/d) with excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills who is able to lead, coach, and develop a team of SAM specialists. You will be responsible for defining and implementing a global SAM strategy and roadmap, as well as for developing a strategic and operational SAM organization and its capabilities.
This position can be filled in Germany or Poland.
Define and execute a forward-looking tool and technology strategy aligned with overall business objectives
Drive and continuously enhance SAM governance, leveraging industry best practices and relevant KPIs
Lead internal and external audit initiatives, including audit management, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions
Build and evolve an agile SAM function to support modern and changing licensing models
Deliver impactful reporting and dashboards tailored to executive and stakeholder needs
Establish and maintain a single source of truth for software entitlements, usage, contracts, and lifecycle data
Advise leadership on licensing strategies, risk exposure, and investment decisions based on data-driven insights
Define and govern end-to-end software asset lifecycle management processes
Foster strong collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and software vendors (OEMs)
Proactively manage risk, security, and compliance to minimize audit exposure and avoid unplanned costs
Identify and realize cost optimization opportunities, including rationalization, re-harvesting, chargebacks, and cost avoidance
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or Business Management, other non-technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 10 years of professional experience in leading Software Asset Management practices
Expertise in software licensing strategies, contracting, SAM practices, audit managing, compliance practices, asset management tools and executive reporting
Expertise in ISO and ITIL process of Asset Management
Proficient with process and Asset Management competencies
Proven experience managing End-to-End Asset Life Cycle Management in large diverse global enterprises
Ability to plan budgets and present proposals persuasively
Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-organizational teams, multi-cultural projects and partners
Fluent German and English skills
