Apprenticeship as a nursing specialist in pediatrics (m/f/d)

We are looking for you at Herzzentrum Leipzig for the three-year training course to become a nursing specialist with a specialization in paediatrics (m/f/d) starting on 01.09.2025.

• During your three-year training, you will work in the various fields of nursing and be prepared for your professional role as a nursing specialist

• You will learn to recognize the care needs and emergency situations of your patients, to react appropriately and to participate in care measures
• We will teach you how to support people in need of care of all ages, how to plan and document their care process
• Your practical work will mainly take place in the various specialties of pediatrics (including: pediatric cardiac surgery, pediatric intensive care unit)
• You will be accompanied through your training by regular practical supervisors and you will be well prepared for your final examination and subsequent employment
• After successfully completing your vocational training, you will be able to work as a specialist on highly specialized children's wards

• You have a secondary school leaving certificate or high school diploma and at least two years of vocational training as a nursing assistant / geriatric nursing assistant (m/f/d)

• You are characterized by a strong sense of responsibility, empathy and reliability
• You have an interest in medical, nursing and social tasks
• You are willing to work in shifts
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

How does the training work?

Three years of theoretical and practical training

The practical training takes place in 2,500 hours in our clinic and in the long-term care area

The theoretical training of 2,100 hours is completed at our vocational medical school in Leipzig

At the end of your training, you will take an oral, written and practical final examination, for which we will prepare you well over the three years
