Process Owner for Transportation Management (SAP TM) (m/f/d)

We are seeking a Process Owner Transportation Management (SAP TM) (m/f/d) ideally specialized in Transportation Charge and Freight Settlement for our global Transportation Operations. In this strategic role, you will be part of our business transformation team to design and implement modern transportation processes and IT-templates focused on SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) across our diverse global network, including Production Units, Market Units, and 3PL. Your proven business knowledge in transportation management, combined with extensive expertise in SAP TM Advanced, will be crucial in guiding the successful rollout of innovative solutions at more than 100 locations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Process Design & Architecture

• Partner with cross‑functional business teams to define, harmonize, and optimize transportation management processes aligned with our global strategy.

• Develop clear, business‑focused process models and IT templates for diverse transportation scenarios

• Translate business requirements into scalable, future‑proof SAP TM process designs with a strong focus on Charge and Freight Settlement.

• Ensure process designs support business goals, enhance operational efficiency, and comply with industry’s best practices.

• Support end‑to‑end transportation flows (planning, execution, charging, settlement) and ensure seamless integration with SD, MM, FI/CO, and EWM.

Strategic Process Design & Standardization

• Partner with cross‑functional business teams to shape and refine transportation management processes that support our global strategy.

• Ensure all process designs align with business objectives, improve operational efficiency, and adhere to industry best practices.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Establish and maintain global process standards, templates, and documentation.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the new logistics & distribution processes.

• Lead process workshops and fit‑gap analyses/sessions with business and further stakeholders.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, data quality, and process efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and industry regulations.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as a key leader in our global transformation program, partnering with stakeholders and regional teams.

• Oversee the strategic design and deployment of SAP TM-based solutions, ensuring alignment with our operational and commercial objectives.

• Facilitate communication between business units and IT teams to ensure a seamless integration of new processes.

• Support change management activities, including training, communication, and user enablement.

• Coordinate with external partners and implementation teams to ensure high‑quality delivery.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in transportation management within a global, business-focused environment.

• Proven track record in designing and implementing process improvements and IT solutions for transportation management, specifically with SAP TM Advanced – ideally with a focus on Transportation Charge and Freight Settlement

• Familiarity with Signavio, JIRA, and SAP Focused Build is preferred but not required.

• Strong background in managing change and engaging diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced, international setting.

• Ability to bridge the gap between technical IT teams and business units, ensuring clear communication and effective implementation.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, business-focused manner.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of building and managing relationships across global teams.
