We are looking for an assistant physician (m/f/d) with an interest in the field of internal medicine as soon as possible.

• The possibility of full further training in the field of internal medicine. The chief physicians have full training authorization for basic training in internal medicine. Further training can take place in the sub-areas of cardiology, gastroenterology and pneumology as well as haemato-oncology. In addition, there is the possibility of additional training in geriatrics, diabetology and sleep medicine.

The Department of Internal Medicine I, with a focus on cardiology and nephrology , performs all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, coronary interventions, PFO/ASD/LAA closures, 1-3-chamber pacemaker and ICD implantations, electrophysiological examinations and ablations, as well as all common kidney replacement procedures. Cardiology operates a monitoring unit (Intermediate Care Unit/IMC) including a Chest Pain Unit (CPU) and 24/7 PCI standby for the interventional treatment of acute coronary syndrome. In cooperation with the Institute of Radiology, cardio-MRI examinations and CT coronary angiography are performed.

The Department of Internal Medicine II, which focuses on gastroenterology/hepatology, infectiology and pneumology, has a modern endoscopy department as well as a gastroenterological functional laboratory (24-hour pH metry, HR manometry, respiratory gas analyses, capsule endoscopy). The sleep laboratory is attached to the pneumology department. Diagnosis and treatment of all common diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, gall bladder and pancreas as well as the respiratory organs and infectious diseases are carried out.

In the Clinic for Oncology, Hematology and Palliative Medicine, the focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of all haematological and oncological diseases, as well as the care of palliative care patients. All common antineoplastic, targeted, antibodies and immunotherapies (adjuvant, neoadjuvant and palliative), including high-dose therapies, are carried out both inpatient and in the MVZ Hematology/Oncology. The interdisciplinary cooperation with other specialties of the hospital ensures optimal patient care. Interdisciplinary tumor conferences take place weekly, in which diagnostics and therapies are discussed with other specialties of the hospital in an interdisciplinary manner. There is close cooperation with the MVZ Strahlentherapie in-house and, if appropriate, simultaneous radiotherapy/chemotherapy is used. With our own palliative care unit, we can offer and carry out palliative medical treatment in accordance with guidelines (psycho-oncology, pain therapy, nutritional treatment, physiotherapy, care of oncological emergencies, etc.).

The Clinic for Geriatrics and Early Rehabilitation has 60 inpatient beds spread over 3 wards and 15 day clinic places. The Clinic for Geriatrics also includes a Geriatric Institute Outpatient Clinic. This means that more than 1,200 geriatric patients are treated annually and 250 patients are cared for in the day clinic. Geriatric patients after acute myocardial infarction, acute heart failure, sepsis and delayed convalescence after pneumonia are mainly treated as part of geriatric early rehabilitation. In addition, geriatric early rehabilitation after stroke, Parkinson's disease and dementia is carried out in our neurogeriatric ward. Another focus is the early rehabilitation of multimorbid geriatric patients in our geriatric traumatology department after fractures with conservative and osteosynthetic care. In our clinic, we attach great importance to a healthy team spirit and we not only have a lot of empathy for our elderly patients, but also for each other.
