As of January 1, 2026, we are looking for a committed Senior Consultant Vascular Surgery (m/f/d) at the Aue-Bad Schlema site.

• You will work closely with the Chief Physician, have responsibility in the management team of the Clinic for Vascular Medicine and take part in the on-call service
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with medical colleagues and other professional groups with the aim of ensuring the best possible patient well-being
• You help shape the further development of the clinic and functional department with your own ideas
• By guiding and supervising junior doctors (m/f/d), you will support our junior staff
• You will be actively involved in the development of treatment concepts

• Completed specialist training in vascular surgery or surgery with a focus on vascular surgery, experience in conventional, surgical and endovascular vascular surgery and coverage of all common surgical procedures in vascular surgery / "Endovascular Surgeon" certificate (m/f/d)
• An open-minded, team-oriented and confident personality with a strong patient focus
• You recognize business contexts and have a high sense of responsibility and can take on an active leadership role
• Willingness to work in a collegial manner with the other specialist departments and in trusting cooperation with our resident doctors
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

Angiologists and vascular surgeons work together in the Vascular Medicine Clinic at Heliosklinikum Aue under the direction of a senior physician. This means that the focus of diagnostics and therapy is always on the well-being of the patient in an interdisciplinary manner.

All surgical procedures on the carotid artery, the infrarenal aorta and the iliac vessels, shunt operations and all peripheral surgical methods including pedal bypasses are performed. Endovascular procedures are established both as hybrid and percutaneous interventions. The angiography facility is operated under the direction of our interventional angiologist and senior consultant. Endovascular treatment of changes to the aorta and pelvic vessels has been an integral part of treatment in the operating theater for several years. A hybrid operating theater is planned. Diagnostically, the clinic is equipped to a technically sophisticated level with CT, MRI, DSA and duplex sonography. There is close cooperation with the cardiology and radiology departments.
