Training as an anesthesia technical assistant (m/f/d) - ATA

We are looking for a trainee anesthesia technical assistant (m/f/d) - ATAto start on September 1st of each year .

• Training is carried out in accordance with the current version of the national ATA-OTA Act and the associated training and examination regulations
• At least 2,100 hours of instruction at the Helios Training Center in Plauen and at least 2,500 hours of practical training under expert guidance in mandatory and optional areas of deployment in the respective hospitals
• Introduction of patients to the operating theater and monitoring and observation of patients during and after surgery
• Safe handling of technical equipment and interdisciplinary cooperation
• Responsible handling of medication and documentation

• A good secondary school leaving certificate or lower secondary school leaving certificate with at least two years of vocational training or a professional license as a nursing assistant (m/f/d) and proof of health suitability by means of a medical certificate
• Good academic performance, especially in the natural sciences
• Parental consent for applicants (m/f/d) under the age of 18
• A pre-vocational internship in the surgical field or on a surgical ward is desirable
• You have an understanding of medical technology and are physically and mentally resilient
• The ability to work in a team and a sense of responsibility, order and cleanliness are a matter of course for you
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

• A varied three-year apprenticeship starting on 01.09. each year
• A maximum working week of 38.5 hours
• This training concludes with a written, oral and practical examination to become an anesthesia technical assistant (ATA-DKG)
• Certificate on radiation protection course for surgical staff in accordance with Annex 10

Anesthesia technicians (m/f/d) help medical specialists prepare and administer anesthesia. Anesthesia is a medical procedure with the aim of getting patients through an operation without pain. They are responsible for the care of patients.

An anesthesia technician (m/f/d) monitors the patient's circulation, breathing and general condition during and after the operation. They must react quickly in the event of problems during the operation. They must have good observation skills in order to competently care for patients in the recovery room after the operation. Anesthesia technicians also pay attention to hygiene, maintain the medical equipment and ensure smooth workflows all round. Finally, an anesthesia technician prepares documentation of the anesthesia procedures.
