Manager Sourcing Management (m/f/d)

As a Manager Sourcing Management, you will play a key role in shaping a modern, efficient, and globally aligned IT supplier ecosystem. You support the development and execution of the sourcing strategy, consolidate the global IT provider landscape, and ensure consistent, high-quality sourcing processes across the organization. Leveraging solid vendor management expertise and close collaboration with procurement, IT, and strategic partners, you help drive cost efficiency, service quality, and alignment to the technology roadmap.

What You Will Do

Strategic Responsibilities

• Assess market trends to recommend new partnerships and next-generation sourcing models aligned to IT and business needs.

• Proactively evaluate vendor offerings against market benchmarks to continually improve cost and value.

Tactical Responsibilities

• Coordinate with functional IT Domains to streamline supplier relationships and contracts across global categories and collect business requirements for technology solutions.

• Support strategic sourcing initiatives such as supplier base harmonization, regional delivery model implementation, and major offshoring engagements.

• Participate in the end-to-end selection of service providers, including RFP creation, evaluation criteria, contract negotiation, and approval processes.

• Collaborate closely with Global Procurement and Sourcing Management teams to execute compliant and high-quality sourcing activities.

Operational Responsibilities

• Coordinate strategic partners, maintain the sourcing workbench, and guide contract lifecycle management processes using SAP Ariba or Coupa.

• Track and report vendor performance, including preferred supplier lists, agreements, lessons learned, and improvement actions.

• Build strong relationships with supplier executives and internal stakeholders to gain 360-degree feedback and stimulate innovation.

What we are looking for

Qualifications

• University degree in economics, computer science, information technology, or related field, ideally with exposure to IT sourcing.

• Excellent English communication skills for clear interaction with business and technical stakeholders.

Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IT Service Management focusing on service quality, ITSM transformations, sourcing, vendor management, or process standardization in Pharma/Life Sciences/Healthcare.

• 3+ years in strategic IT project management – working with senior stakeholders and SAP Ariba or Coupa, with strong contract lifecycle management understanding.

• Proven negotiation skills and experience working in complex global environments.

• Experience managing departmental budgets and resources in complex IT environments.

• Strong analytical, solution-oriented thinking and confident communication skills.

Technical Know-How

• Certifications such as SAP Ariba, PMP, Prince2, COBIT, or ITIL (highly desirable).

• Experience with frameworks like ITSM, CMMI, TOGAF, ISO/IEC 20000, LeanIT, or IT/OT (a plus).

• Proficiency in ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or Cherwell.
