Lead Solution Architect (SAP QM) Quality (m/f/d)

Position Overview
As our Lead Solution Architect – Quality, you will design and deliver cutting-edge SAP Quality Management (QM) solutions that empower Fresenius Kabi’s quality operations across the globe. You will drive complex solution architectures, guide technical teams through successful implementations, and ensure our systems meet the highest standards of compliance, maintainability, and performance. Working closely with connected IT domains, you will integrate quality solutions seamlessly into our enterprise landscape while continuously improving processes and services.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

• Design robust, future-oriented SAP QM solutions, ensuring seamless integration with connected systems.

• Prepare effort and cost estimations for solution proposals, aligning with business priorities and budget.

• Apply deep process knowledge to translate business requirements into scalable, compliant solutions.

Implementation & Technical Leadership

• Lead international project teams in delivering SAP QM solutions from design through go-live.

• Oversee quality assurance during implementation, ensuring adherence to industry regulations (GxP, GMP) and internal standards.

• Coordinate with cross-functional architects to maintain architectural consistency and interoperability.

Continuous Improvement & Governance

• Monitor solution performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement enhancements.

• Manage risks in your area of responsibility and define effective mitigation measures.

• Ensure all SAP functional teams meet SLA targets and deliver sustainable, maintainable solutions.

Collaboration & Influence

• Represent the Quality domain in steering committees, governance boards, and cross-functional workshops.

• Partner with process owners to align IT solutions with evolving business and regulatory needs.

• Mentor solution architects and subject matter experts in your domain, fostering capability growth.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or similar.

• 10+ years of IT/SAP experience, including implementation and operations of SAP ERP systems.

• 6+ years of process knowledge in quality management, including inspections, defect control, and compliance.

• Advanced configuration skills in SAP QM; knowledge of SAP S/4HANA QM functionalities preferred.

• Experience integrating SAP QM with other modules (MM, PP, EWM).

• Familiarity with SAP Authorizations and SAP Test Automation is an advantage.

• Proven track record in regulated industries such as pharma, medical devices, or food & beverage.

• Fluent in English.

• Willing to travel internationally occasionally.
