We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual as Senior Manager Third Party Manufacturing to lead and coordinate activities with our external manufacturing partners.
This role is critical to the successful launch and ongoing production of new products, particularly in the medical device space.
Main responsibilities:
Contract management & partner support
- Support in the development and negotiation of contracts with external manufacturing partners for new and existing projects
- Main contact person: in for external manufacturers, ensuring coordination regarding schedules, deliveries and quality requirements
Cross-divisional coordination
- Close cooperation with the development, purchasing, legal, quality assurance and supply chain teams to ensure the smooth implementation of manufacturing projects
- Organizing cross-departmental meetings and ensuring clear communication between internal and external stakeholders
Product launch & operational readiness
- Supporting the introduction of new products at external production sites
- Ensuring the operational readiness of manufacturing processes, documentation and compliance with regulatory standards
Inventory & supply chain monitoring
- Implementation and maintenance of systems to monitor stock levels, trigger orders and manage replenishment cycles
- Monitoring and reporting on manufacturing certificates, batch release documents and product availability
Compliance & quality monitoring
- Ensuring that all manufacturing activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements
- Support with audits and inspections related to external manufacturing processes
Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering, science, supply chain or a related field; advanced degree an advantage
- At least 5 years of experience in third party manufacturing, contract management or supply chain operations
- Profound and business fluent English skills
- Industry experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics or medical devices is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of GMP, regulatory compliance and quality systems
- Excellent project management, communication and negotiation skills
- Experience working with ERP systems and inventory management tools
Desirable skills:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) - or comparable project management certification
- Experience with technology transfer and upscaling of manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with digital tools for supply chain visibility and partner collaboration
