To strengthen our clinic for intensive care, emergency, pain and palliative medicine, we are looking for an experienced specialist (m/f/d) in internal medicine with intensive care expertise.

The Helios Clinic Leezen is a supra-regional facility for early neurorehabilitation with 84 intensive care and IMC beds. In close cooperation with the Helios Clinic Schwerin across all locations, we are designing a high-performance intensive care structure in northern Germany.

Our intensive care medical concept is based on interdisciplinary co-leadership from anesthesia, internal medicine and neurology.

The clinic is a teaching hospital of the MSH Medical School Hamburg.

• Senior medical management and supervision of intensive care in the specialized weaning center
• Holistic management of complex internal multi-organ diseases in a neurorehabilitation context
• Control of prolonged weaning processes in chronically critically ill patients
• Responsibility for patients with multi-organ failure, sepsis, and cardio-renal and metabolic comorbidities
• Internal management of neurologically associated complications (e.g., dysautonomia, dysphagia-associated infections)
• Interdisciplinary leadership in the senior medical team with anesthesia and neurology
• Day shift with senior physician on-call services (no shift system)

• Specialist recognition for internal medicine
• Additional qualification in intensive care medicine (or willingness to acquire it in a timely manner)
• Sound experience in multi-organ management (sepsis, heart failure, kidney replacement procedures, etc.)
• Safety in prolonged weaning of chronically critically ill patients
• Interest in structured process development and quality work
• Leadership skills and interdisciplinary team orientation
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

The Helios Clinic Leezen is a specialist clinic with 219 beds that focuses on the acute care of the seriously ill. The department has four wards in the areas of rehabilitation, neurology and psychiatry.We are dedicated to the care of intensive care patients after the completion of the direct acute phase and the care of patients with neurological deficit and start rehabilitation with the continuation of intensive care.
