Process Expert Injection Molding / Engineer Injection Molding - Expert Level (m/f/d)

- Full-time - Permanent - Mobile working partly possible -

Main responsibilities

• Qualification of new systems, machines and tools for the injection molding process, especially in the field of PVC injection molding
• Technical support of international sites in development & optimization of injection molding processes
• Development and optimization of injection molding processes and injection molding tools up to series production readiness
• Troubleshooting of new and existing molds (e.g. material changes)
• Support with external mold maintenance and transfer activities
• Specification, procurement and implementation of injection molds
• Technical support for the production plants in the areas of injection molding and tool technology
• Planning, monitoring, control and coordination of all mold qualification tasks
• Planning/implementation of the following phases of process qualification:
  - Design of experiments (DoE) at the technology center or at the supplier's site
  - FAT at the technology center or at the supplier's site
  - SAT at the designated production facility
  - Production support at the start of series production (validation/ pilot series)
• Documentation of the process qualification phases
• Training of employees as part of the tool and process transfer to series production
• Carrying out/supporting tool maintenance and minor repairs within the technology center
• Supporting our global production sites
• Working in an international team
• Exchanging information, requesting quotations and making technical arrangements with international cooperation partners

Experience and qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering / engineering sciences or plastics technology or technician
• Several years of professional experience in injection molding, especially in the field of PVC injection molding
• Experience in the optimization, qualification and validation of injection molding processes
• Knowledge of the materials science of plastics
• Knowledge of tool design and maintenance of injection molding tools
• Confident handling of MS Office & project management software
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Communication skills, ability to work in a team, commitment, assertiveness
• Driving license and willingness to travel
