The Incident Coordinator & Cyber Crisis Manager is the central point of coordination during cyber incidents and crises, ensuring seamless communication and engagement across all relevant stakeholders. You will lead global incident preparedness to support response efforts, working closely with Fresenius CERT, the Corporate Crisis Team, IT, OT, technical teams, Fresenius Kabi business units, and external partners to ensure a coordinated and effective approach. Additionally, you will design and implement training programs, including simulations and tabletop exercises, to strengthen incident response capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Incident & Crisis Management
Develop and maintain a global crisis response network. Enhance incident response using NIST, ISO 27001, and ITIL frameworks. Standardize procedures for consistency, accountability, and efficiency.
Lead incident coordination, ensuring stakeholder alignment. Continuously refine response strategies through lessons learned and exercises. Update crisis plans for emerging threats like ransomware, data breaches, and IT outages.
Stakeholder Management Coordination & Communication
Identify and train local contacts to support incident response efforts. Foster collaboration between regional and global teams, ensuring efficient escalation pathways.
Implement a structured engagement model with Local Information Security Advisors, starting with EU compliance (NIS2 Directive) and expanding globally.
Act as the key liaison between Fresenius CERT, the Corporate Crisis Team, IT & technical teams, business units, and external partners.
Develop structured processes for managing third-party incident reports, ensuring clear escalation and resolution pathways.
Regulatory Reporting
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, prioritizing EU frameworks such as the NIS2 Directive and GDPR, by establishing and implementing a structured process for incident classification and reporting that ensures adherence to external reporting timelines and regulatory obligations.
Preparedness & Training
Organize and facilitate training programs, including simulations and tabletop exercises, by developing targeted initiatives to enhance organizational readiness and crisis preparedness, and designing realistic crisis scenarios aligned with the organization’s risk landscape.
Skills & Experience
Degree in cybersecurity, information systems, IT, or a related field.
Senior-level experience in incident response and crisis management within large organizations.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
Proven ability to build a global crisis response network.
Expertise in designing and conducting crisis simulations.
Proficiency in leveraging diagrams, dashboards, and mapping tools.
Good understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methodologies.
Familiarity with industry-standard frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, 22301).
Solid understanding of IT systems, networks, and security tools (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, EDR).
Communication & Teamwork
Ability to bridge IT and business language, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Straightforward yet diplomatic communicator who conveys messages with empathy.
Strong team player who shares knowledge, prioritizes team success, and aligns with company goals.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English is required.
German is highly welcomed; additional languages such as French, Spanish, or any other EU language is an advantage.
Location & Work Environment
Based in Bad Homburg, Germany.
Remote work is supported, with occasional onsite collaboration.
