As soon as possible, we are looking for you as a senior physician (m/f/d) for general and visceral surgery with a focus on visceral oncology.

• Development and expansion of a visceral oncology focus
• Participation and expansion of scientific and teaching activities
• Support for further education and further development of the surgical curriculum
• Participation in the on-call service of the clinic
• Participation in quality assurance measures and performance recording

• You have a doctorate in visceral surgery/surgery, preferably with an additional qualification in special visceral surgery
• You have proven expertise in oncological and minimally invasive/robotic surgery, preferably with your own focus (upper GI tract, peritoneal metastasis, liver surgery)
• You are interested in teaching and scientific work
• You are looking for a job in a university maximum care provider with a broad medical spectrum, modern treatment concepts, regular training and a good working atmosphere in a young, modern team
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

• Broad surgical spectrum (oncology, robot-assisted surgery, MIC, obesity) and modern perioperative management (ERAS center)

• Participation in scientific projects with the possibility of habilitation

The focus is on visceral oncology (DKG-certified center for stomach, colorectal and pancreatic cancer, regional tumor center), bariatric-endocrine surgery (obesity center), coloproctology. As an ERAS Center of Excellence, the use of a multimodal perioperative treatment concept is another distinguishing feature. A large proportion of our patients undergo minimally invasive surgery in our interdisciplinary robot center. The clinic has been a university campus of the Medical School Hamburg since 2019 and is thus firmly integrated into student teaching and research activities.
