Your tasks:

• Design, development and maintenance of robust and scalable data pipelines for the integration, transformation and provision of data based on Azure Cloud technologies, in particular Azure Data Factory and MS Fabrics
• Responsibility for the modeling of data structures (e.g. in the data warehouse or data lakehouse) and the design of high-performance databases and models that meet the requirements of different business areas
• Ensuring high data quality and availability by implementing suitable validation and monitoring mechanisms
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and business units to understand data requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions
• Supporting the establishment of sustainable data governance and the implementation of security and compliance requirements in the data context
• Evaluating and introducing new technologies, methods and tools in the field of data engineering
• Documentation of architecture decisions, processes and interfaces to ensure transparency and reusability

What you bring with you:

• Completed studies in (business) computer science, mathematics, engineering or comparable knowledge, as well as several years of experience in the field of data engineering, ideally in an international or regulated environment desirable
• Sound knowledge in the development of data pipelines with Azure Data Factory and/or MS Fabrics, ideally supplemented by experience with Azure Synapse, Databricks or comparable tools
• In-depth experience in modeling relational and analytical databases and handling large amounts of data
• Very confident with SQL and ideally with Python for data processing and automation
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing principles and modern cloud architectures
• Proactive, structured way of working with a high level of personal responsibility and quality standards
• Ability to work in a team and strong communication and coordination skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
