Senior physician in pediatrics and adolescent medicine (m/f/d)

We are looking for a part-time or full-time Senior Physician (m/f/d) for our Clinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the Pirna site as of 01.04.2025.

• Treatment of patients, from admission to diagnostics and discharge management
• Informing patients and their families about clinical pictures and treatment options
• Ensuring high medical standards and quality of patient care in the field of pediatrics and adolescent medicine
• Supervision and support of assistant physicians together with the head physician in the network
• You will work on an interdisciplinary basis with other specialist departments

• German license to practice medicine and completed specialist training (m/f/d) in paediatrics and adolescent medicine as well as several years of proven clinical experience in the field of paediatrics
• The occupation of a specialty area is desirable
• You recognize business contexts and have a high sense of responsibility and can take on an active leadership role
• Above all, you are characterized by a high level of social competence, a motivating personality and enjoy working with our young patients
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

The Clinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine treats newborns, children and adolescents up to the age of 18. The range of treatment includes all diseases that occur in childhood and adolescence with the exception of cancer and diseases requiring intensive medical care. The Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine provides pediatric care for all newborns at Helios Klinikum Pirna. Special areas of care include neuropaediatric diseases, neonatology and pediatric care for high-risk births. Close and trusting cooperation between the medical service, pediatric nursing staff and functional service is a matter of course for us.

Approximately 1000 inpatient pediatric patients and an additional 350 children requiring surgery are cared for on the children's ward each year. Approx. 3000 children and adolescents are treated as outpatients via the pediatric NFA. There are approx. 500 premature and full-term newborns per year.
