Specialist / Senior Physician in Palliative Medicine (m/f/d)

• Care of our patients in accordance with current professional standards

• You will work closely with a dedicated and experienced team of doctors and nurses and actively support the further development of the department
• Participation in and expansion of the palliative care
• interdepartmental palliative care service established in 2016
• Close interdisciplinary collaboration with many cooperation partners - especially on scientific issues
• You participate in the on-call duty system as well as in lectures and specialist events
• Cooperative collaboration with all departments of the hospital and doctors in private practice
• Participation in internal and external training and further education

• You are a specialist (m/f/d) with the additional qualification in palliative medicine

• You have extensive experience in palliative medical care
• You are motivated and responsible and have the ability to work in a committed team and patient-oriented clinic
• You are characterized by flexibility, reliability and a high degree of responsibility and organizational talent
• Strong interpersonal skills and a respectful and empathetic approach to the expectations and needs of patients
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

The Helios Klinikum Bad Saarow is a hospital providing qualified standard care and, with 629 beds, is one of the largest and most modern clinics in the region. 19 specialist departments, three institutes, a central emergency room, a central laboratory and various certified centers provide a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art diagnostics and innovative therapies.

The Helios Klinikum Bad Saarow treats regional and supra-regional patients with all malignant solid tumors and hematological diseases. Since 2021, not only various organ cancer centers, but also the Oncology Center of the Helios Klinikum Bad Saarow have been certified by the German Cancer Society (DKG). The clinics for haematology, oncology and palliative medicine, in which around 2,500 patients are treated as inpatients every year, have a total of 58 beds in mainly one- and two-bed rooms. There is close cooperation with the local SAPV team and the oncology specialist practice directly on the hospital grounds. The hospital's palliative care unit, which has been certified as a "special facility", was established in 2011 and has 12 beds. The interdisciplinary team of palliative physicians, specialist nurses, psycho-oncologists, pastoral care, music, occupational, nutritional and physiotherapists are highly committed to the needs of patients and their relatives, who are mainly accommodated in single rooms with the option of an extra bed.
