At the earliest possible date, we are looking for exactly you as Chief Physician (m/f/d) in the Clinic for Neurology at the Schwerin site.

• Representation of the specialty of neurology in patient care at the clinic as head physician as well as in direct academic connection in teaching and research in the human medicine degree program
• Management and professional responsibility for the Department of Neurology, including personnel management and development
• Ensuring high-quality and cost-effective patient care
• Contributing to the strategic development of the clinic and the department
• You will represent the Department of Neurology in patient care at the hospital and as part of the professorship in research, teaching and transfer
• Tasks as a subject representative:in includes the planning and implementation of courses in neurology (especially lectures, but also the technical supervision of seminars and bedside teaching) within the scope of the teaching load (0.5 W3 professorship: with 4.5 SWS), as well as the development of teaching and learning materials in digital and analog form, the acceptance and evaluation of examinations, advising students, supervision of trainees and PJ students.
• Research tasks result from the requirements of a W3 professorship and focus on the establishment and further development of clinical research in the context of the university's research priorities and the strategic development of healthcare research in cooperation with the Helios Clinics Schwerin

• Specialist in neurology (m/f/d) with extensive clinical experience and a focus on neurovascular diseases
• Fulfilment of all requirements for obtaining full authorization for further training in the field of neurology
• special aptitude for scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate
• pedagogical aptitude acquired through teaching activities at universities and demonstrated by additional qualifications
• In accordance with the special requirements of the professorship, the following must also be proven: additional academic achievements, which have been achieved through a habilitation or equivalent academic achievements or as part of a junior professorship
• In principle, the statutory minimum requirements according to § 43 BbgHG in its currently valid version apply.
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

Helios Kliniken Schwerin is a maximum care facility and, as a university campus of the Medical School Hamburg, is also responsible for teaching and research as well as the training of medical students. They consist of the Klinikum Schwerin and the Carl-Friedrich-Flemming-Klinik and are among the largest hospitals in northern Germany. The Neurology Clinic at the Helios Clinics Schwerin is a modern facility with a stroke unit, electrophysiology department and day clinic. With a team of xx doctors and over xx MTAs, we provide the entire spectrum of neurology. There is close, interdisciplinary networking with the specialist areas of neuroradiology and neurosurgery.
