For the Clinic for Pneumology, Sleep and Respiratory Medicine at the Bonn site, we are looking for a Senior Physician Pneumology (m/f/d) as of January 1, 2026 or earlier.

• Diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant lung and bronchial diseases
• Communication and committed support of patients and their relatives
• Active and regular participation in internal training courses and participation in student teaching
• Participation in on-call duty
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

• Responsible and committed specialist (m/f/d) for internal medicine and pneumology

• Motivation for the content-related, organizational and strategic development of the Department of Pneumology
• Areas of interest such as weaning/intensive care medicine are welcome

The clinics for pneumology, sleep and respiratory medicine at the Bonn and Siegburg locations are designated in the NRW hospital plan with the service group "Complex Pneumology". At both locations, 4,000 inpatients are treated annually with pneumological and ventilation-specific DRGs.

Both locations are DKG-certified lung cancer centers (approx. 350–400 primary diagnoses/year) and have an endoscopic focus (including an interventional pneumology section). At the Bonn site, the formation of a supra-regional lung center is planned in close cooperation with the Clinic for Thoracic Surgery (CA Prof. Dr. J. Schmidt). A strong orientation with regard to the lung cancer screening program, which will start in 2026, is planned, among other things, with the expansion of pneumological endoscopy.

We offer the complete range of pneumological services including all modern endoscopic procedures (flexible and rigid bronchoscopy, EBUS, EBUS mini-probe and slim bronchoscopy, interventional therapy, including stent implantation and ELVR) as well as a weaning/ventilation unit. Three respiratory therapists are assigned to the clinic.
