Senior Consultant General and Interventional Cardiology and Rhythmology (m/f/d)

For our 3rd Medical Clinic - General and Interventional Cardiology and Rhythmology at the Erfurt site, we are looking for a Specialist in Cardiology as Senior Consultant (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date.

• Work in the ultra-modern environment of a maximum care provider with excellent technical equipment (4 catheter laboratories incl. hybrid OR, rFR, FFR, OCT, IVUS, Shockwave, Coroventis etc.) and short-term further development into a university hospital
• As a senior consultant (m/f/d) you will be responsible, together with the head physician, for the future-oriented and cross-location further development of the clinic, take on organizational tasks within the clinic and the cluster or sub-areas as a deputy for the head physician
• The main areas of activity include:
• Conservative and invasive cardiology, especially cardiac catheterization labs and hybrid OR
• Senior cardiology co-supervision and coordination of individual care areas (e.g. IMC/CPU, ITS, normal ward)
• There is the possibility of further professional development within cardiology, e.g. in the field of structural heart disease, rhythmology, devicetherapy, cardio-MR

• Specialist in internal medicine and cardiology with additional qualifications (e.g. interventional cardiology and/or rhythmology and/or devicetherapy) with broad clinical experience in cardiology, additional training in internal intensive care medicine is desirable
• Excellent previous experience in invasive coronary therapy including 24/7 invasive infarction care, performance of complex PTCAs (e.g. rotablation, shockwave) and treatment of cardiogenic shock, use of mechanical circulatory support procedures (e.g. Impella, Impella RP, ECMO)
• Organizational and interdisciplinary thinking with the willingness to further develop clinical processes across locations, creative and organizational talent, very good communication skills, empathy, organizational talent, social competence
• Willingness for continuous professional development, implementation of evidence- and guideline-based care concepts and further development of existing SOPs
• A habilitation is desirable. In any case, a high level of interest in clinical scientific work, the willingness to participate in student teaching and clinical studies within the study department of the 3rd Medical Clinic. If desired, there is the possibility of a habilitation in the medium term.

• A permanent full-time position with a working week of 40 hours

We work across locations within the Helios-Kliniken Thüringen Mitte cluster, with joint organizational and technical responsibility for the Internal Medicine department at the Blankenhain site (30 beds). The Rhythmology department is represented by a senior physician. Further training authorization for cardio-MRI is available in conjunction with the performance of cardio-MRIs at the Erfurt and Blankenhain sites.
